Lillepost SMS Terms
These terms cover Lillepost’s optional SMS/MMS program for adults who save childhood memories. Texting opens when Lillepost’s Twilio connection and toll-free approval are complete. A parent can connect their own mobile number and invite other adults to contribute from their own phones. Each phone connects to one family at a time.
What you are signing up for
Once activated and your phone is verified, the program will let you send notes and photos to your family’s letterbox. Service messages include sign-in codes, phone connection instructions, save confirmations, and clarification when we cannot identify the intended child. We will not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.
Your choice
You can sign up or sign in with a US phone number. Select the unchecked SMS consent checkbox and request a code. Enter the six-digit code within five minutes to verify your phone. New phone accounts are connected for saving memories automatically. Signing in again does not reverse a prior opt-out. Email and password signup remains available without SMS consent.
To opt in, enter your own mobile number, select the separate SMS consent checkbox, and save your preference while signed in. Neither checkbox is preselected. Only the phone’s subscriber or an authorized user may enroll it. Phone ownership must be verified before the number can route incoming memories. After website consent, send the unique LINK code shown in your account from that same phone to prove ownership.
Invited relatives can instead open a personal family invitation, actively select the unchecked SMS consent checkbox, and press “Connect my phone.” They send the prefilled JOIN message from their own phone to verify it. An invitation grants permission to contribute to the selected children, not access to read or manage the archive. Sharing the number or an invitation is not consent on someone else’s behalf. The invited adult must opt in for themselves.
Weekly memory prompts are coming later and have a separate optional checkbox. SMS consent is not a condition of purchase or of using Lillepost through email or the web. Saving a preference does not activate messaging.
Frequency and charges
Service message frequency will vary with your activity. If you separately choose weekly prompts, you will receive up to one prompt per week. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s charges and plan apply to texts and photos.
Stopping messages and getting help
You can withdraw SMS consent now from SMS preferences. Once texting is activated, reply STOP to unsubscribe from all Lillepost texts; you may receive a final unsubscribe confirmation. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also contact ctndrfx@gmail.com.
Opting out of texting does not delete memories already saved in Lillepost. If your phone number changes or you stop using it, withdraw consent for the old number and enroll your new number.
Invited contributors can stop texting with STOP or contact support. The inviting parent can remove contributor access at any time. Unused invitation links expire in 7 days and can connect one phone only. Verification texts expire after 10 minutes.
Availability
Lillepost texting is intended for adults using supported US mobile numbers. Delivery depends on your carrier and network availability. Messages and attachments may be delayed or fail to arrive; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Keep an original copy of anything you cannot replace.
Privacy
